Date:Monday, March 30, 2020 4:01:06 PM
Good afternoon –
As a reminder, the Public Health DOC will update the number of COVID-19 cases each day around
4:00pm. The information is also updated on the Public Health website.
COVID-19
Total COVID-19 Cases: 8
Total COVID-19 Deaths: 0
The DOC is now reporting total positive cases and total deaths for COVID-19 in accordance with
guidance from the State for reporting COVID-19 statistics. The previous categories are less
meaningful now given the increase in transmission of COVID-19 within communities. Butte County
Public Health is still performing containment activities for COVID-19.
Thanks

The DOC requested ventilators from the State, but it is unclear if these will be received given the
widespread demand.

The CARES Act funded SBA for Paycheck Protection Program loan guarantees. This means
the SBA guarantees small-business loans through local lenders. A business interested in a
loan should contact its banking institution directly. Guidance from the federal government to
lenders is not expected until this Friday.
The SBA COVID-19 Small Business Guidance & Loan Resources are available online.
Thanks.
