Our website now has a link providing daily program updates for all of our County and contracted services in one place for anyone interested in knowing what is happening. At the State level CBHDA is seeking waivers for many of the services we provide now in order to reduce the need for face to face contacts and to allow for services using phones and video. So far the initial response that we are getting has been promising with approval for a number of asks occurring but there remains much we are still waiting to hear back on. In the meantime Directors are faced with the choice of provision of services to clients in need with the risk of not being reimbursed or to limit services. We have chosen the former and continue to serve clients in the most flexible ways possible. As for services, while staff are reaching out to all of our clients and offering services as appropriate, billable services are down substantially Countywide. In addition the State has communicated that our three key funding streams (91 Realignment, 2011 Realignment, and MHSA) are all expected to drop significantly with the elimination of any growth and a reduction in our baseline allocations for 20/21 and beyond. We are preparing multiple budget scenarios in anticipation of the need to cut or reduce programming if our reserves prove insufficient to weather the upcoming storm. If you have any questions please let me know.
