DearSupervisors,
InordertocomeintocompliancewiththeTemporaryRVParkPermit,aclearancefrom
EnvironmentalHealthmustbeobtained.DougDanzhaspersonallyvisitedtheLochLomond
GlenParkinMagaliaandhasbeenimpressedwiththeoverallcleanlinessofthearea.In
essence,nosepticisbeingpermittedtobedumpedontheground.Whilebasicallytheparkis
incompliancewiththespiritofEnvironmentalhealth,itislackinginthecoderegulations.
Specifically,therequirementthatalltemporaryRVsmustbephysicallyplumbedtoan
approvedsepticsystem.Thisrequirementisunfeasible,unworkable,andunwarranteddo
to thetemporarynatureofthepermitandthelayoftheland.
Foroverayearwehavemaintainedthecleanlinessandsanitationthroughtheuseof
portablemanufacturedRVsepticandgreywatertotterstransportingeffluenttoanapproved
sanitationsystem.Sidenote:Theapprovedsepticsystemisratedfor300visitorsperdayat
thepark.Unfortunately,thisisnotanapprovedoptionintheTemporaryCode.
Thus,inordertocomeintocompliance,theCodemustbealteredtoreflectthisviable
option.Wehavenearly40evacueeswithnoplacetogountilhousingcanbebuiltandDoug
Danzhasnooptionbuttowriteaticketwherethisallwindsupincourt.Thisalsomakesthe
parkineligibleforfundsandgrantsneededforprojectsfromtheNorthValleyFoundation.
Projectsdesignedforthecomfortandconvenienceofthecampfireevacuees.
