I am hoping Butte Behavioral Health received the grant money they applied for. Thanks, Scott for getting that done and setting up the presentation in Oroville. Thank you Oroville Citycouncil for supporting Lauras law This outbreak of a pandemic disease had to take the center stage as it should, however, my daughter has just recently come out of the mental health system again. She is doing well with this last set of meds. Thing is right when she came out she didn't want to take her meds and then she decided she wanted to and this is where we are at today. I had planned to go to the Board of Supervisors and the Paradise City counsel and speak, however... Meanwhile, families like mine are still fearing for our loved ones. We don't want to have our loved ones get in trouble with law enforcement to get help in this county. Our loved ones are mentally ill and had they been in there sensible minds they would have never done anything to get in trouble and have a count against them in our court systems. Yet with this idea that court order through those means does help doesn't mean it helps the families who watched their loved ones go through the court system then have the help they need? Isn't this putting the cart before the Horse? Jan 22 of this year there was a bill introduced to get Laura's law passed statewide and counties can opt out. Opposite of what we have today. So I believe we all are on the right track to get a team of people to assist us to care for our loved ones at home. Soon as you all declare we can go back to the County and City counselsI will be attending this and giving detailed information of what my family had to experience this go around. The system was going to drop my kid off at the Jesus center?!!!! Yeah... I still play myguitar down the streets of Chico and Isee what is happening in our beautiful town and my kid didn't have to havetheoption of being on the streets. Thatsjust how this time went. Our family had been on a ten-year journey with the system as it is. And to be constantly dealing with this HUH? thing. In a system that mistakes have been made. People going through the court system when they had no criminalrecord really? We, families like mine in this county still need the counties help with options instead of tying our money and hands up in this current system at Butte Behavioral Health For people like myself, it's hard to imagine that people don't know other people who have to watch their loved ones suffer more than they are. No One here I believe wants this for anyone so please let's get this passed in this county. So we can encourage other counties around us and being the leaders of maybe setting up a local hospital so our county doesn'thave to pay other enterprises because in the end out loved ones come back to our county and Ironically enough that's why there was the Jesus center option as opposed to bringing my kid home thank you all for what you are doing in this time of crisis Lauras Law Because it works Help keep loved ones safe and at Home George Deeds 530-566-4004
