WHEREAS, on February 14 through February 28, 2019, severe storms of rain, wind and snow, known as the February
2019 Storms, hit in and around the County of Butte; and
WHEREAS, the February 2019 storms lead to the evacuation of residents and major damage to roads and other critical
infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, on February 28, 2019, Butte County Chief Administrative Officer Shari McCracken proclaimed a Loca"
Emergency in Butte County, which declaration was ratified by the Board of Supervisors on March 5, 2019; and
