HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-099WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code section 29802(a), any warrant, or check, issued by the County is void if
not presented to the County Treasurer for payment within six months after it date of issue; and
WHEREAS, at any time after a period of two years from the date on which the original warrant becomes void,
pursuant to Government Code section 29802(c), if the payee or assignee presents such warrant to the governing body of
the agency on which the warrant was drawn, the governing body, by resolution, may authorize the Auditor -Controller to
draw a new warrant in favor of the payee or assignee in the same amount as the original warrant; and
WHEREAS, Antonio Solis Jr., has submitted a request, pursuant to Government Code section 29802 for the
reiss,uance of a time -expired check originally issued by Butte County on March 15, 2016, in the amount of $8,393.01; and
WHEREAS, the Auditor -Controller's Office has verified that the check is time -expired and that no replacement
check has been issued.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorize the Auditor -
Controller to draw a new warrant to the above-named payee in the same amount of the original warrant.
