ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Butte County Fire Department County of Butte, Mate of California
WHEREAS, the Butte County Fire department applied for and was awarded the Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant
(Grant); and
WHEREAS, the Grant provides for Wildland Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to replace old and worn out PPE,
Fire Shelters, and Flashlights for Volunteer Firefighters; and
WHEREAS, to qualify for the Grant the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors is required to sign and execute
said Resolution on behalf of the Butte County Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, the Grant requires the person signing the Resolution to authorize the County Administrative Officer to
sign the Agreement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Resolution Number:. 20-126 Approving the Department of Forestry and Fire
Protection Agreement # 7FG20013 and the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby approve the Agreement with the
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection dated as of the last signatory date on page 6 of the agreement, and
any amendments thereto. This Agreement provides for an award, during the term of this agreement, under the Volunteer
Fire Assistance Program of the Cooperative Fire Assistance Act of 1978 during State Fiscal Year 2020-21 up to and no more
than the amount of $20,000

following vote:.
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
