HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-132WHEREAS, the County of Butte is proud of our veterans and thankful for their continued services to the
Community; and
WHEREAS, the Veteran Memorial Hall Committees were originally formed by the Butte County Board of
Supervisors and are ever changing and require flexibility; and
WHEREAS, the desire is to disband the current organization committee structure, and shift responsibility to each
hall organization committee to identify and select its own leadership; and
WHEREAS, there is a desire cease the use of these facilities by the general public and the County (with the
exceptions of holding elections).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors herby disbands the following
Veteran Memorial Hall Committees in each Veteran Memorial Hall to allow the Veteran organizations to form and appoint
their own leadership and to cease use of the Veteran Memorial Halls by the general public and County departments except
for holding elections:
1. Chico Veterans Memorial Hall Committee; and
2, Grid ley Veterans Memorial Hall Committee; and
3. Oroville Veterans Memorial Hall Committee; and
4. Paradise Veterans Memorial Hall Committee.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 29th day of September, 2020, by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Lucero, Ritter, Teeter, and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
