Chair Lambert and Members of the Board, I wanted to say thank you for
allowing me to serve the citizens of Butte County the last several years. I have
thoroughly enjoyed working such sound, well-functioning county and I will
always be proud of my association with Butte. Paul and Shari were the best
leaders I could ever hope for. Could any other county have gone through what
we’ve gone through with anywhere near the grace and resilience? I don’t think
so.
To you all, too, this is what I see in each of you: your passion, dedication and
care for the people you serve. I have just a little understanding of the
difficulties and complexities of your job and I see something of the hours and
hours you put into public service. I genuinely, wholeheartedly admire you.
Again, thank you for your continued support of the library and trust in me.
