Please exercise judgment before opening attachments, clicking on links, or replying.. Sections 54-34.E.4 should probably refer to section 54-32 rather than section 53-32. As there are still many displaced persons from the Camp Fire nearly two years on, persons displaced by the North Complex may well need until 2023 to reestablish permanent housing. Especially as the housing crisis mentioned in section 54-50 continues to escalate. While the provisions of this ordinance are steps in the right direction, more must be done to create housing not only for fire survivors but also for tenants outside the fire perimeters who have lost their leases as a knock-on effect and for people who want to come to Butte County to work and need places to live. In February of 2019, I pleaded with this board to get more housing built, and in September of 2020, Camp Fire survivors were still in a deleterious temporary RV park because there is still nowhere salutary for them to go. North Complex survivors deserve better, and I hope that rather than copying and pasting the Camp Fire experience, the county can learn from it and dedicate some of the PG&E settlement funds to determining where and what kinds of long-term housing can be built in these foothills and then turning those plans into homes. But first, I urge you to pass this ordinance with the amendment to 54-34.E.4 to address this most urgent need. Thank you. John Stonebraker Magalia, CA
