The Board of Supervisors may consider making an appointment to fill this vacancy on or after February 10, 2020. The term of this appointment ends January 9, 2023. The Board of Supervisors established the Housing Authority Board, which is a non-profit public agency, to assist low and moderate income residents of Butte County to secure and maintain high quality affordable housing through many different programs. Funding for the various programs is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the USDA rd Rural Development. Meetings are held the 3 Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. at the Housing Authority Office, 2039 Forest Avenue, Chico, CA. The Board of Supervisors may consider making an appointment to fill this vacancy on or after February 10, 2020. The term of this appointment ends January 4, 2021. Resource Conservation Districts are special districts that help private landowners protect soil, water, wildlife habitat, and other natural resources. Resource Conservation Districts make available technical, financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land manager with conservation of soil, water and related natural resources. The Butte County Resource District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors appointed by the Board of Supervisors, with one member be appointed by each supervisorial district, comprised of local landowners, ranchers, and farmers. Terms of member of the Board of Directors coincide with the term of the appointing Supervisor.
