Good Morning Butte County Employees,
In addition to those employees on medical leave, employees impacted by the North Complex
Fire and employees off work for COVID-19 reasons needing to take additional time off to care
for themselves and their families are now eligible to apply for and receive catastrophic leave
donations. Employees requesting a donation for any situation as outlined above, may do so
under the existing procedure existing catastrophic leave procedure.

For individuals who wish to make a donation, please complete the Catastrophic Leave
Donation form and return it to Human Resources no later than 10/16/20 so that it can be
processed for the 10/23/20 pay date. All donation requests will be submitted to payroll for
review and/or processing.
Please be aware that all donations are confidential and used in the order in which they
were received. Donations can only be accepted and processed on behalf of employees
who have approved Catastrophic Leave Requests on file with the Department of Human
Resources.
Donations will only be deducted from your bank of accruals once the employee (in need
of donations), has exhausted all other available accruals. Note: Emergency Paid Sick
Leave hours cannot be donated.
Depending on the employee need, your donations (full or partial), may or may not be
used.
