Board Members,
The Lt. Governor’s office notified our Health Officer, Dr. Bernstein that Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis
plans to visit several places in Northern California this week. She has requested to meet with Public
Health staff to learn more about Butte County’s impacts from COVID-19. This will not be an open
meeting and no media will be invited or present.
The specific discussion topics are:
COVID-19 & Testing in Butte County
Meeting and Maintaining County Tier Metrics
Laboratory Overview and tour the Public Health Lab
Danette, Dr. Bernstein, and their Operations Section Chief, Monica Soderstrom will meet with Lt.
Governor Kounalakis on Wednesday afternoon. I plan to join them for their meeting to represent
you and Butte County Administration.
