FIRE UPDATE: The fire remains within the same footprint and the lines are holding well. Fire is 94% contained at this point. They are focusing now on mop up work and patrolling the fire burn area. Coordinating with PG&E at this time for the anticipated wind event slated to arrive Wednesday night and into Thursday. They do feel the containment lines are solid and will hold. PG&E PG&E – continue to monitor high winds anticipated later this week/starting tomorrow. At this point - 11,300 customers in Butte County are anticipated to be impacted (the eastern flank of the County). De-energization is anticipated to start around 6:00pm Wednesday evening…with power anticipated to be fully restored by Friday night. 5 Customer Resource Centers are in line to be opened up – same locations as previously utilized: Bangor Community Center 7500 Oro Bangor Highway Bangor, 95914 American Veterans Store 15474 Forest Ranch Way Forest Ranch, Butte, 95942 Magalia Pines Baptist Church 14098 Skyway Rd Magalia, 95954 Southside Oroville Community Center 2959 Lower Wyandotte Rd Oroville, 95966 Craig Memorial Congregational Church 5665 Scottwood Rd Paradise, 95969 The CRCs will provide: snacks, waters, ADA restrooms, charging stations, Wi-Fi services. Staff will have a briefing Wednesday morning at 9:30 to hear the latest on this event. CARE AND SHELTER: There are 186 animals still being sheltered at three sites. o Reunification efforts continue. Animals that due do unclaimed will be spade, neutered and put up for adoption. There are 277 individuals housed in 136 hotel/rooms throughout N. Cal. Work continues to get them closer to home. LAC will be closed Friday – ended up having 2,495 individuals visit the LAC, with 1,286 filing applications. Calls – over 3,583 calls received thus far. Misc. Items: Waste services have been restored in the burn scar area. Information boards within the impacted communities continue to be updated with current information regarding the fire and recovery efforts. We are now working in a 2 week operational period which began last Friday evening – running through 8:00pm Friday 10/23. We continue to need EOC support for Care and Shelter. We will have briefings two days/week (on Tuesday and Thursday). If there are any questions – please don’t hesitate to reach out.
