A necessary quorum and majority of the Board of Supervisors of Butte County ("Applicant") hereby consent to, adopt and
ratify the following resolutions:
WHEREAS the State of California (the "State"), Department of Housing and Community Development
("Department") issued a second Notice of Funding Availability ("NOFA") dated October 2, 2020 under the Coronavirus Aid,
Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act which a Ilocated federal funds for the Emergency Solutions Grants Program (the
"Program" or "ESG") to the State. These funds are referred to herein, as the �E5G-Curonavirus (E6G-CV)fmndn and this
October 282OESG-CVN[>FAisdistributing "Round 2°ofthe ESG-CVfunding.
WHEREAS Applicant Usanapproved state ESG Administrative Entity that previously received ESG-CV funding under
theinitia|E5G-CYN{}FAdatedJume1,2O2Q(heweimafterreferredtoas"ESG-CVKouodI°).
WHEREAS the Department may approve funding allocations for the ESG-CV Program, subject to the terms and
conditions of the NDFA, Program regulations and requirements, and the Standard Agreement and other contracts
between Department and ESG-[Vgrant recipients;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the Butte
County Department of Employment and Social Services apply and receive funding allocations for the E5G-CVProgram as
the Administrative Entity for COC CA'519 C0|CO/PARADISE/BUTTECOUNTY and that:
1. All information, submitted b*Applicant o�mits ESG-[VRound 1 application remains true, correct, and accurate, or
the Department approved inwriting achange toApplicant's ESG-[VRound 1application. Applicant affirms its
continued compliance to all of the terms and conditions of ESG-CV Round 1 application and related Standard
2. Applicant is authorized to submit an application for ESG-CV Round 2 and be subject to the terms thereof.
8. If Applicant receives a grant of ESGI-CV Round 2 funds from the Department pursuant to the above referenced
ESG'[V(Round Z)NOFA,itrepresents and certifies that bwill use all such funds |namanner consistent and in
compliance with all applicable state and federal statutes, rules, regulations, and laws, including without
limitation all rules and laws regarding the ESG-CV Program, as well as any and all contracts Applicant may have
with the Department.
4. in addition to its ESG-CV Round 1 grant, Applicant is now hereby authorized and directed tnreceive am
additional E8G-CVRound 2 grant, in an amount not to exceed $6,276,946 in accordance with aIl applicable rules
and laws.
5. Applicant hereby agrees to use the ESG-CV funds for eligible activities as approved by the Department and in
accordance with all Program requirements, and other rules and laws, as well as in a manner consistent and in
compliance with the ESG-CV Standard Agreement, and other contracts between the Applicant and the
Department.
6. Shelby Boston, Director of Butte County Employment and Social Services is authorized to execute the ESG-CV
Standard Agreement Amendment and any subsequent amendments or modifications thereto, as well as any
other documents which are related to the Program: or the ESG-CV grant awarded to Applicant, as the
Department may deem appropriate.
