Good afternoon Board – some quick updates on the PSPS event that is slated to beginning
tonight/tomorrow morning and run through Friday.
Most recent meteorology models show this off shore wind event lessening which may mean
fewer impacts throughout Northern California including locally (but the extent of which are
not yet known).
For those areas affected in the current PSPS event the period looks to begin early Thursday
morning (0400 to 0800) with the weather all clear Friday mid-morning with patrols and
restoration occurring by end of Friday.
Four CRCs are scheduled to open:
Forest Ranch (American Veterans Store, 15477 Forest Ranch Way),
Magalia (Magalia Pines Baptist Church, 14098 Skyway),
Paradise (Lutheran Church, 780 Luther Dr.); and
Oroville (Bird St. School, 1421 Bird St.) have been constructed in Butte County.
While this event appears to be a somewhat “mild” one – PG&E is monitoring a stronger wind
event slated to potentially hit this Sunday and run through Tuesday. More information on this
one, as we get closer to this particular event.
