Board Members,
As you may have heard by now, there is another fire inside the City of Oroville. The fire is between
Old Ferry Rd and Long Bar Rd, just past the roundabout. Butte County Fire stepped in to help, and
called in resources from CAL FIRE. Firefighting efforts are paying off, the fire is on its way to being
contained. Chief Messina told me it’s looking much better now than when it started 45 minutes ago,
and kept to about 30 acres.
Evacuation orders were issued from the roundabout up to Long Bar. We have opened a Temporary
Evacuation Point at the Church of the Nazarene.
