Good morning all – quick update from our 9:00am EOC briefing for the North Complex Fire.

Info from USFS yesterday indicate they are still making progress on the fire – but there
is still some active fire near Hwy 70.
PG&E
Current PSPS event in play right now. Power was de-energized late last night and early this
morning. 10,259 customers in Butte impacted. Anticipate an all clear Friday morning…and
will begin patrolling the lines and restoring power. 4 CRC’s are open today, 8:00am to
10:00pm:
Forest Ranch (American Veterans Store, 15477 Forest Ranch Way),
Magalia (Magalia Pines Baptist Church, 14098 Skyway),
Paradise (Lutheran Church, 780 Luther Dr.); and
Oroville (Bird St. School, 1421 Bird St.) have been constructed in Butte County.
The CRCs will provide: snacks, waters, ADA restrooms, charging stations, Wi-Fi services.
Another PSPS event likely coming this weekend, starting at some point on Sunday, that could
last through Tuesday.
CARE AND SHELTER:
There are 15 animals still being sheltered.
o Reunification efforts continue. Animals that go unclaimed will be spade,
neutered and put up for adoption.
o 10/23 is the slated closure date of animal shelter.
There are 355 individuals housed in 200 hotel/rooms throughout N. Cal. Work
continues to get them to a longer term solution.
o Still working on getting an extension for non-congregate shelters…as well as
direct housing assistance. Should know more very soon on these topics.
Calls – over 4,359 calls received thus far. Calls continue to be around 100/day.
Misc. Items:
We continue to work in a 2 week operational period which began last Friday evening –
running through 8:00pm Friday 10/23. We continue to need EOC support for Care and
Shelter. We will have briefings two days/week (on Tuesday and Thursday).
Considering keeping the EOC open for one more week, and then transitioning fully to
recovery…will make that determination tomorrow/Friday.
Town Hall meeting today regarding recovery at the South Oroville Community Center
from 4:00 – 6:00.
If there are any questions – please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thanks…
