Media Statement:
Butte County Announces COVID-19 Death in Young Adult
Butte County Public Health (BCPH) is announcing a COVID-19 death in a young adult. BCPH
expresses its sincere condolences to thefamily and friends. The individual was a person in
their 20’s without any underlying health conditions and passed away at the hospital. This is
the second young adultin Butte County to succumb to their COVID-19 infection.
BCPH has identified an additional COVID-19 death in a person in the 75 years and older group
whowas aresident of a congregate living facility. BCPH expresses its sincere condolences to
the family and friends.
The total number of deaths in Butte County,dueto COVID-19 is 56.
