The area above Forbestown continues to actively burn, and is still challenging. CAL FIRE is cutting a lot of line but full containment is elusive. The weather is in our favor for the next couple of days, but Friday night we’ll see increasingly strong, dry winds from the north. We will likely have a red flag warning from Friday night to Monday, and another PSPS seems likely as well. Meanwhile repopulation continues into the areas where the fire is controlled. We are advising people at the checkpoints regarding the dangers of ash, debris, trees, smoldering areas, etc. There are some areas that will take longer to repopulate, even where the fire has been controlled. There is a lot of work being done to make the areas safe and to restore utilities and infrastructure. Repopulation is a constant balance of allowing individuals access to their properties, and their safety.
