RECOLOGY TRASH BINS.docx
Board Members,
For the first time in several days firefighters are feeling optimistic about the progress. They did a
large firing operation and with the extra lines they cut they were able to pin down the fire. The fire
has held and they are working to strengthen the containment lines. Work continues to repopulate
the area when it is safe to do so. REcology placed some bins in the fire area (see attached map for
locations) to give residents a location to place their household waste. This is for household waste
only, and not for ash or debris.
The weather looks like it’s going to work against us this weekend. Confidence is high that we’ll have
a wind event starting Saturday afternoon, lasting until Monday morning, resulting in a red flag
warning. This will impact firefighting, as well as the repopulation efforts and timing.
The winds will most likely cause a PSPS starting Saturday. PG&E will have Customer Resource Centers
at the same locations as the last PSPS.
The Local Assistance Center (LAC) continues to be busy. As of 4pm today we had an additional 261
families visit, and we received an additional 166 applications.
Damage assessment continues, with updated numbers below. They are close to being finished,
around 90% done.
