Subject: 78 Table Mountain Blvd. Oroville -DESS building Closed Today
Good Morning,
Sometime last night the power at the large DESS/Public Health Clinic/Child Support building lost
power. According to my security contractor, it appears the power went off at approximately 1:30am
today. Once we became aware of the issue we quickly contacted PGE, General Services, and the
property owner to assess the situation. It appears after inspection that an internal transformer has
failed. Given the seriousness of the electrical fault, we have closed the building today to allow the
electrician to be able to work without the complications of keeping staff comfortable and working
inside the facility. We are working with staff to find alternative worksites, redeploying staff to the
Local Assistance Center, EOC operations or working remotely.
