Still have concerns in the north- eastern section of the fire (in the USFS responsibility area) in the Feather River Canyon area. Again – the EOC remains on a higher alert until the fire in this region is under control. The CalFire Incident Management Team is transitioning out tomorrow…however, are making sure they put in a dozier line in up in the north eastern section prior to departing – and also have worked closely with our local crew to have a plan in place. Staff continue to work hard on getting more resources in to assist with animal control and be prepared in case more sheltering is needed. We were supposed to have National Guard arrive today…have been assured they will arrive tomorrow/Wednesday. We have three small shelters open and ready now – in addition to our large animal shelter. The EOC will delay the move to Oroville again – pushing back to Thursday afternoon at this point. We are in operational period 11 right now – which will end at 8:00pm tonight. Operational period 12 will start tonight at 8:00pm – and will be for another 24 hour period. The EOC will be going virtual tonight….and be available to return should the situation change.
