Newsom Administration - Resources / Mutual Aid / Executive Orders
Today, Governor announced that Washington, Oregon, -19
Scientific Safety Review Workgroup, which will independently review the safety and efficacy of any
vaccine approved by the FDA for distribution. Last week, Governor Newsom announced the panelmade
up of nationally acclaimed scientists with expertise in immunization and public health. You may view the

Governor Newsom announced today that he has formed a Drafting Guidelines Workgroup. This group
will determine the prioritization and allocation of vaccine supplies.
Dr. Ghaly provided an update on the current County Tier status:
o Purple: 9 Counties
o Red: 22 Counties (Purple to Red: Glenn, Mendocino)
o Orange: 17 Counties (Red to Orange: Contra Costa, Marin, San Mateo, Santa Cruz)
o Yellow: 10 Counties (Orange to Yellow: Calaveras)
Governor Newsom said they would soon be announcing guidelines for the Thanksgiving and Christmas

Water Resilience Portfolio Workshops
In the coming months, the California Water Commission will conduct a series of public workshops to
explore the S Water Resilience
Portfolio, released in July, directs the Commission to assess the State's role in financing conveyance
projects that could help meet needs in a changing climate. For more information, view here.
