And if you want to learn more about these and other issues at the CPUC please let me know and we can schedule a meeting and I would be delighted to come to you. 1.The CPUC is seeking local governments to become parties to our Disaster Relief Proceeding. Specifically, Phase II of this proceeding will be developing requirements to ensure the responsiveness of telecommunications companies to information requests from first responders as well as determining what critical information is not being provided to first responders.* 2.This proposed decision upon approval by the Commission would create two building decarbonization pilot programs – the Building Initiative for Low-Emissions Development (BUILD Program) program and the Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH Initiative) initiative – that would provide $200 million dollars over a four year period to build residential units (with at least 30% for low-income housing) that are all-electric building projects, without any hookup to the gas distribution grid. 3.The opening of a new rulemaking R.20-02-008 to update the California Universal Telephone Service Program (also known as the Lifeline Program), in which the CPUC will continue to consider how to incorporate additional communications technologies, such as broadband, and address changes to state and federal policies in this new rulemaking. One of our first priorities will be working with stakeholders to determine the appropriate levels of program- funded support for communications services going forward. If you have an interest in advocating for low-income individuals in telecommunications matters, you can get involved by providing input either as a party to the proceeding or by emailing your comments to public.advisor@cpuc.ca.gov Press Releases: CPUC RESPONSE TO SETTLEMENT WOULD IMPOSE PENALTIES IN EXCESS OF $2 BILLION AGAINST PG&E FOR 2017 AND 2018 WILDFIRES CPUC NEW ONLINE COMMENT PORTAL OFFERS OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE INPUT ONLINE AND VIEW COMMENTS OF OTHERS Thankyou!
