Good afternoon all,
We have been fielding quite a few questions regarding Anthem Blue Cross and their ongoing issues
with Enloe Hospital so I wanted to provide an update to ease the minds of County employees.
Employees and their dependents enrolled in health insurance through CalPERS and Teamsters
remain covered through their health plan at Enloe Hospital. Recently, Enloe terminated their Medi-
Cal contract with Anthem Blue Cross. This contract termination does NOT affect employees’
coverage through CalPERS or Teamsters. The current commercial insurance contract between
Anthem Blue Cross and Enloe Hospital runs through December 31, 2021.
If you have questions or concerns about your employee benefits through Butte County please
contact Human Resources at hr.benefits@buttecounty.net or 530-552-3552 opt. 1. Alternatively,
you may contact the member services phone number on the back of your health insurance card if
you have specific questions regarding your health insurance coverage.
