Good afternoon all,
In light of the county going back down to the purple tier, I want to provide you with an update on
Library operations. As per State guidance, libraries have been listed in the same category as retail,
which is allowed to remain open with a 25% capacity and modifications. We have been operating
within these guidelines the entire time we have been reopened, even when we added computer
services. For now, we will continue on as we are, while monitoring our situation and keeping our
cleaning mitigations in place. Where possible, we strongly encourage patrons to use self service
facilities.
We have consulted with a team of staff and managers to discuss staff concerns and what we need to
do to make staff feel safe. At present the consensus is that we are able to keep the status quo with
close monitoring of the situation, which is in line with many other counties. As always, we will be
monitoring the situation and if needed, we can always scale back.
Please let me know if you have any questions at this point of time.
Thanks
Narinder
