Commissioner from the Butte County Water Commission.
The vacancy notice is posted at the County Administration Office, on the County Boards &
Commissions webpage, and will also be posted at the County libraries. Feel free to post/share in

Board Vacancy Notice
The Butte County Board of Supervisors is hereby giving notice of a vacancy on the Butte County
Water Commissionfor aLandowner -Private Well, At-Large Commissionerseat. The Board
of Supervisors may consider making an appointment to fill this vacancy on or after December
21,2020.The term of this appointment ends March 1, 2021.
The Commission consists of nine members appointed by the Boardof Supervisors, consisting
of the following: Each Board of Supervisor member shall nominate one member from their
district; two members shall be landowners served by district water; and two members shall be
landowners served by private wells.
The Butte County Water Commission provides advice to the Board of Supervisors on water
matters, assists in the development of water policies, and performs all tasks delegated to the
Commission by the Board of Supervisors.
Persons interested in being considered forthis appointment shall submit an Application for
Appointment online at http://www.buttecounty.net/clerkoftheboard/appoinmentslistand may also
submit a letter of interest and/or resume to the Butte County Department of Water and Resource
Conservation via email at BCWater@ButteCounty.net,or by regular mail to 308 Nelson Avenue,
Oroville, CA 95965.

Dear Commissioners and Staff,
It is with regret I submit my resignation from the Butte County Water Commission effective January 1,
2021. It has been my honor and pleasure to serve for 4 years on the Commission. I am proud of what we
have accomplished in those 4 years and I look forward to supporting the Butte County Water and
Resource Conservation Department in my new position as a Supervisor for Butte County. I know I leave
the Commission in very able hands and know Butte County’s water resources are also in good hands.
I will always support and value the work done by this department and Commission.
