COVID19andtherestrictionsplacedbyourGovernorandPublicHealthOfficials.
Additionally,thankyouforyourwillingnesstoserveourcounty!Thelifeofapublicservant
isnotsomethingmanyarecutoutfor.
MyprimaryreasonforemailingistovoiceconcernasaButteCountyResidentregardingitem
4.14ontheagendaforDecember8thsmeeting.
IamtryingtounderstandwhytheBoardwouldevenconsiderbusyingapayoutfromPGEthat
ismeanttohelpmitigatefinancialstraincausedbyPGE’snegligencethatcausedtheCamp
FiretowardspayingPensions?
IfailtoseetheassociationoffiscalimpactstothecountyduetoWildFireresponseandthe
Countiespensionliabilities.
100%ofthesefundsMUSTgotowardswhatthemonieswereintendedtohelpwith.Itis
absolutelyirresponsibletoapplyand/ordesignatethesefundstoanythingotherthan.
Thepeoplearewatching,yourconstituentsarewatching,especiallythosewhoweredirectly
impactedbywildfiresinButteCounty.
Pleasereconsiderthe20Milliondollarsthathavebeen“earmarked”forpensionliabilitiesand
re-designatethosemoniestoareasthatbetterserveyourconstituents,specificallythose
affectedbywildfiresinourcounty.
