HomeMy WebLinkAbout20-160WHEREAS, Kevin started with the County in October of 2006 as a Supervisor, Auditor -Accountant; joined the
County Administration team in April of 2008 as a Management Analyst; promoted to Management Analyst, Senior in 2009
and Management Analyst, Principal in 2014. Prior to his service to Butte County, Kevin's diverse, professional pursuits
ranged from golf pro to Director of Personnel and Cage Operations at Crystal Bay Club Casino to Senior Administrative
Analyst for the City of Sparks; and
WHEREAS, Kevin is a financial and systems wiz who has championed automation and business process
improvement throughout his career with the County and is sought out by staff throughout the County to, help with
challenging financial analysis and operations; and
WHEREAS, Kevin is known for his participation on the County Administration Library Literacy Trivia Bee team
whose primarily goal is to advance farther in the competition then the teams that our District Attorney assembles; and
WHEREAS, Kevin takes pride and responsibility for replacing the sports paraphernalia displayed by new CAO's with
more appropriate northern California selections—even when this takes multiple interventions; and
WHEREAS, Kevin can often be found adding the voice of reason to meetings and conversations; and
WHEREAS, Kevin announced his retirement effective December 1, 2020, after over 14 years of service to the
County
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors on its own behalf, and on behalf
of the residents of the County of Butte, wishes to express to Kevin Taggart sincere appreciation for his dedication and
outstanding service rendered to the residents of the County of Butte, and further wishes him the warmest regards upon
his retirement.
