The following press release will be issued shortly…
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 4, 2021
Butte County Remains Under the Regional Stay at Home Order
BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. –As of Sunday, January 3, 2021, the Greater Sacramento region, which
includes Butte County, ICU bed capacity is at 10.1% and the four-week ICU projection for the region
does not meet the criteria to exit the regional stay at home order (RSAHO). The region’s ICU capacity
varies daily, but recently fell below 10%.
Moving forward, the regions ICU capacity will be assessed on a weekly basis. The RSAHO will be lifted
once the region’s projected ICU capacity meets or exceeds 15%. Butte County Public Health will keep
the public informed about the RSAHO status and make residents aware when the order has been
lifted.
On December 3, 2020, the Greater Sacramento Region was placed under the RSAHO, which was
directed to be in place for a minimum of 21 days. After the 21 day time period, the region’s four
week ICU capacity will be projected on a weekly basis.
The RSAHO prohibits private gatherings of any size, closes sector operations except for critical
infrastructure and retail and requires 100% mask wearing (with certain exceptions as indicated in the
guidance for use of face coverings) and physical distancing.
Under the RSAHO order, restaurants are required to close all indoor and outdoor operations.
Restaurants may continue to provide curbside pick-up and delivery.
The following sectors are required to remain closed for all operations:
Indoor playgrounds
Indoor recreational facilities
Hair salons and barbershops
Personal care services
Museums, zoos, and aquariums
Movie theaters (except drive-in)
Wineries, bars, breweries, and distilleries
Family entertainment centers

The following sectors are allowed to remain open with appropriate infectious disease preventive
measures including 100% masking and physical distancing:

Schools
Until the RSAHO is lifted, all residents are urged to continue following the order and to stop the
spread of COVID-19 by:
Wear a face mask
Keep your distance from others
