COVID-19
Governor Newsom held a COVID-19 update this week. You may

Watch your
Governor Newsom proposed $4.5 billion for equitable recovery for
businesses and jobs in 2021 budget that will help
through the COVID-19 pandemic and advance an equitable, broad-
inbox for up

The Governor Announced the Golden State Stimulus, a budget
to date news
proposal to help low-income Californians through $600 rapid cash
payments and calls for extension of eviction moratorium. For more

California Democrats ask Governor Newsom to spend $5 billion to help renters struggling in pandemic. For

Budget
The Governor's Proposed 2021-22 State Budget Summary has been released, which you may view here. You

Grants

The Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is now accepting applications for the
California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC). The deadline to submit applications is Monday, January 25, 2021.
HCD has extended the deadline for Local Early Action Planning (LEAP) grant applications to January 31, 2021.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury has made available the Emergency Rental Assistance Program for
$25 billion to assist households unable to pay rent and utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Funds are
provided directly to States, U.S. Territories, local governments, and Indian tribes. Only local governments with
more than 200,000 residents are eligible. You may view a list of eligible local governments here.
