Good morning,
Yesterday, during the board meeting a question came up about why Butte County is part of the
greater Sacramento area region rather than then Norther California region. Below are the three
items that the State indicates why Counties are in certain regions.
I have also asked our Public Health PIO to put together a statement to push out to the public with
this information. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
During one of the Governor’s press conferences it was stated the regions are based on the
connections between:
Mutual aid protocols
Hospital system connections
Proximity
