CurrentlywiththeBoardofSupervisorsmeetingonlyintheCityofOroville,therestofthe
Countyisquitedisenfranchised,asitisamajorpartofthedaytotakeoffofworkifonewants
toparticipatebyattendingtomakeapubliccommentinperson(whichseemsnecessarytodo,
asNONEofyourespondtoyouremailssowecan’tbesureyouactuallyreadthelettersand
absorbedtheirmessages).Ihearthisfrommanywhohavewrittenyouanditisquite
discouragingwhenmanyofushavebusylivesandaretryingtoparticipateinmakingour
communityonewecanbeproudofandtoexpressourconcernsfreelyinthehopesyoucan
validateandhopefullyactonthoseconcerns.
A big group of us had a meeting recently and an idea was raised for you to meet once per
quarter in Chico. Thisdoesnotseemunreasonablegivenourcityissaidtohave
approximately120,000peopletoOroville’s19,323(2020population).
Pleasegivethisrequestdueconsideration.Iamsuresomethingcouldbearrangedwithour
CityManagertoallowforuseoftheChambers.
