Dear Mr. Blackett:
) submittal package to
repair undermining on the Toadtown Canal, which is part of PG&DeSabla-
Centerville Hydroelectric Project, Federal Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 803.
To prevent a future canal failure, the proposed project will repair two adjacent sections
of the Toadtown Canal that have been undermined by prior illegal mining activity and
ongoing stormwater erosion. The construction will be completed during the spring 2021
Toadtown Canal outage, which is scheduled for April 1, 2021 through May 12, 2021.
In support
find the project description (Enclosure 1), approved-for-construction drawings
(Enclosure 2), and quality control and inspection program (QCIP) (Enclosure 3)
enclosed with this letter for FERC review.
Ongoing shelter-in-place orders issued by the State of California in response to the
COVID-19 pandemic require that nonessential PG&E staff work remotely, and hard
copy filings are not practical at this time. If FERC requires two hard copies of the project
documents, please contact the license coordinator identified below, and copies will be
sent after the shelter-in-place restrictions have been lifted and PG&E staff have
returned to their normal work locations.
