Dear Mr. Blackett:
This letter presents the 11th Part 12D safety inspection report for Bucks Diversion (Lower
Bucks Lake) Bucks
Creek-Grizzly Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No.
619. The dam was inspected and the safety inspection report was prepared under the
direction of Mr. William Rettberg, P.E., and Mr. Chad M. Masching, P.E., in accordance
with FERC Order No. 122. FERC authorized Mr. Rettberg and Mr. Masching to serve as
the independent consultants (IC) for Bucks Diversion Dam in a letter dated June 2, 2020.
FERC granted an extension of time for the submittal of the safety inspection report, from
November 1, 2020 to February 1, 2021, in a letter to PG&E dated October 15, 2020.
Copies of the safety inspection report are enclosed with this letter (Enclosure 1). In
accordance with Part 12D, Section 12.39, of the FERC regulations, PG&E will submit a
plan and schedule for addressing the ICs recommendations provided in the safety
inspection report. The plan and schedule will be submitted to your office by April 2, 2021.
As a result of the ongoing shelter-in-place orders issued by the State of Californi
response to COVID-19 pandemic, nonessential PG&E staff are working remotely, and
enclosed documents, please contact the license coordinator identified below, and copies
will be sent after the shelter-in-place restrictions have been lifted and PG&E staff have
