With the assistance of our legislative representatives and our State legislative advocate, we were

able to obtain the extension of the ROE deadline to February 15. The extra two weeks will make a
big difference.
We believe this is the last extension.

Subject: Right-of-Entry (ROE) Extension for:
FEMA-4558-DR-CA, August 2020 California Wildfires
FEMA-4569-DR-CA, September 2020 California Wildfires
The Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) has approved an
extension of the Right-of-Entry submission deadline to February 15, 2021. We have
approved this extension in recognition that local government capabilities are
limited due to the recent increased efforts dedicated to COVID-19 response
operations coupled with damaging weather experienced across the State. We
strongly encourage designated Counties to work diligently to solicit ROEs during
this period, as this will be the final extension granted for this effort. Recent weather
impacts to our burn scar areas serve as a timely reminder of our need to complete
this mission as quickly as possible. Any further extension will serve as an impediment
to this effort.
We look forward to working with your County staff to resolve any remaining issues.
