Update 2/5/2021
Happy Friday!
Investigation of the issues with the sewer service for 25 County Center and the Court building have
identified a repairable condition allowing the system to be returned to service. Future infrastructure
upgrades will include a replacement project for this sewer line. Any interruptions in service during
this upgrade will be minimized. Facilities Services shall perform routine regular inspections in effort
to avoid interruptions of service prior to the replacement project. All current usage restrictions have
been lifted and all building facilities may be used normally. Portable toilets will be removed on
Monday.

Subject: Update #: 2/4/2021 Interruption of Potable Water Services 25 County Center
Hello,
In effort to expedite this repair process and restore full function of the sanitary sewer serving 25
County Center, Facilities Services has employed the latest in sewer maintenance equipment
including digital imagery. Once our investigation is completed the process of affecting a repair will
begin. During this time we are making every effort to mitigate the impact to all personnel in the
facility. As stated in a previous update, we have instituted a reliable work around allowing for normal
daily usage of plumbing systems. While there will be very little impact to daily operations during this
process we ask that you observe special conditions after hours and on weekends.
Bathrooms, sinks, and all other interior plumbing:
All facilities shall remain fully functional from 7:30am through 5:30pm Monday through Friday until
further notice.
There is no need to be concerned about using the facilities as we are providing continuous
observation throughout the day.
After normal hours, 5:30pm through 7:30am, and on weekends we ask that any individuals refrain
from using any building restrooms, sinks, or drains.
Two accessible portable toilets and one handwash station will be provided for use after normal
hours and on weekends.
The portable facilities will be cleaned every morning to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
Updates will be provided on a daily basis around 2pm.

We have implemented the sanitary sewer work around which allows for use of all building facilities
associated with potable water and its use. Please feel free to use all facilities as you normally would
DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS 8AM THROUGH 5PM ONLY!!
DO NOT USE ANY RESTROOMS, SINKS, OR ANY OTHER WATER AFTER NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS!!!
ANY USE OF POTABLE WATER AFTER NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS WILL RESULT IN A RELEASE OF
SEWAGE ONTO THE GROUND AND INTO ANY ADJACENT WATER WAY.
I will send another update this afternoon indicating how long it will be necessary to restrict after
hour usage. Currently this approval to use potable water includes Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday of this week.

We have developed a work around procedure that will allow us to restore potable water service
during normal business hours. I still need to confirm scheduling for next week but as for now all
potable water and building restrooms will be back online by 12:30pm today.

Update:
Portable toilets and handwashing stations were delivered yesterday at 5pm and unfortunately they
were not fully equipped as expected. We are working to resolve this issue and will have all units
outfitted with all necessary toiletries this morning.
Also, we are considering all options to make this inconvenience more tolerable for everyone. I will
send updates whenever any new developments arise. In the meantime do not hesitate to contact
me.

All,
Due to an unforeseeable issue with the sanitary sewer line serving 25 County Center Drive, it will be
necessary to discontinue potable water service until repairs are completed. We are still determining
the scope of the issue and necessary repairs but rest assured we are working very hard to restore
service as quickly as possible. Portable restroom facilities are being delivered tonight and will be
placed in the red box on the attached plan. The portables will be serviced twice weekly and locked
from 5pm through 8am each day to maintain cleanliness and avoid vandalism. A copy of the
attached notice and plan showing the location of the portables will be posted at each exterior entry
to the building.
