Please consider this as intel and do not share widely:
I write this email with a heavy heart to give you all a heads up regarding additional COVID deaths
that will be reported soon. One of the congregate living facilities in the county (I believe it is a skilled
nursing facility) has had almost all of their residents test positive for COVID and the majority of their
residents are very elderly and vulnerable.
Out of approximately 70 residents, 10 have now passed away. Only 3 of these deaths have been
reported on our dashboard to date since we do not report them until we receive the death
certificates and confirm they are COVID related deaths. Therefore, we will most likely see an
increase in the number of deaths in the coming days and I wanted you to be aware.
This has been troubling for the facility staff as you can imagine they grieve every loss of life after
working with, getting to know and caring for their residents. The trauma COVID is placing on our
community members continues to increase.
