COMMISSIONER'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, Rob began his employment with the Butte County Agricultural Commissioner's Office on August 12,
1991, as, an Agricultural Biologist; and
WHEREAS, On March 31, 2001 Rob was promoted to Deputy Agricultural Commissioner. Rob oversaw several
programs including Invasive Pest Management, Industrial Hemp, and County Building and Planning Reviews related to
agriculture; and
WHEREAS, Over the years Rob well -represented the Agricultural Commissioner's office through his
contributions and participation in the County's Resource Conservation District, Conditional Rice Disease Management
District under the County's Air Quality Management Department, and the Butte/Yuba/Sutter Watershed Coalition -
Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program; and
WHEREAS, Rob provided innovative approaches to the Glassy -Winged Sharpshooter, Arundo, and Japanese
Dodder programs which resulted in the successful eradication, of each invasive species in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, Rob served as Interim Butte County Agricultural Commissioner from October 1, 2015 — December 30,
2015; and
WHEREAS, after serving the citizens of Butte County for 29 years, Rob is retired on December 30, 2020; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby expresses their deep
appreciation for the unselfish dedication and devotion given by Robert C. Hill during his career with the Butte County
Agricultural Commissioner's Office.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 121h day of January, 2021, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisor Lucero, Ritter, Kimmelshue, Teeter, and Chair Connelly
