HomeMy WebLinkAbout21-013WHEREAS, the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) released the Youth Reentry Program Request for Applications; and WHEREAS, the Butte County Probation Department (department) desires to apply for the Youth Reentry Program funding to address reentry needs of youth and to develop and implement comprehensive pre- and post -reentry plans for youth returning to the community after confinement; and WHEREAS, funding will be used to address the needs of youth, identify and coordinate appropriate community- based program services at least 90 days prior to release, and provide case management services and evidence -based programming; and WHEREAS, the department agrees to abide by the statutes and regulations governing the Youth Reentry Program, as well as the terms and conditions of any Agreements as set forth by the OJJDP; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the department to submit a Youth Reentry Program proposal on behalf of the County of Butte as lead Agency; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chief Probation Officer, or his designee, is hereby authorized and empowered to execute Youth Reentry Program documents on behalf of the County of Butte, including, but not limited to, applications, payment requests, agreements, and amendments necessary to secure Youth Reentry Program funds, or extensions to Youth Reentry Program thereof. vote: PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 26th day of January, 2021, by the following, AYES.
