WHEREAS, Mr. Jones dedicated significant time to public service; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones served on the Butte County Water Commission from May 2004 to January 2021; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Jones served on the Butte County Resource Conservation District from June 2002 to May 2010;
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones served on the Butte County Wastewater Advisory Committee from March 2010 to June 2019;
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones served on the Resource Conservation and Development Council; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones actively participated in community meetings on a wide range of issues; and
WHEREAS, through all of his, participation, IMr. Jones strived to protect and enhance Butte County communities,
businesses and the environment; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jones exemplified the highest standard of public service by respecting other opinions and
perspectives while sharing his own; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors hereby acknowledges and honors
DC Jones for his service to Butte County.
