Board Members,
Today I authorized Paula Daneluk to sign a letter of support for BCAG’s submittal of a Caltrans
planning grant for the purpose of developing a new land use model for the region. The deadline of
the grant application does not allow for the letter of support to go to a Board of Supervisors meeting
before sending it.
Development of the land use model is a requirement, so the work will happen regardless of the
grant application. It’s BCAG’s hope to secure grant funds so they don’t have to use local funds to pay
for the planning process.
Board of Supervisors members, sitting as BCAG Board Members, will be involved in the actual
planning.
The letter is attached for your review.
