The new testing site will be located in the Shurmer Gymnasium on the CSU, Chico Campus (near the intersection of W. 1st St. and Warner St.). This location is considered a Traveling Testing Team and will operate two days a week. Appointments are open to the public and scheduled every Thursday & Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. BCPH is grateful to CSU, Chico for providing a centralized testing location for all Butte County residents, conveniently located for students, staff, and faculty. “Providing enough COVID-19 testing is just one way we can all help to monitor the coronavirus,” said CSU, Chico Associate Vice President of Facilities and Capital Projects Mike Guzzi, who is also the University’s Emergency Operations Director. “With the existing infrastructure of Shurmer Gym already in place, Chico State is proud to be able to offer another testing option for the entire Chico community and to do its part in helping to stop the spread.” The OptumServe testing site located at 900 Mangrove Avenue in Chico remains open to the public six days a week. Both OptumServe testing sites are by appointment only. Schedule your appointment: Online at: https://lhi.care/covidtesting By phone: 1-888-634-1123 Testing for COVID-19 remains an important tool to stop the spread of illness and remains a top priority for BCPH. If you have symptoms or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should get tested. This is true even after being vaccinated as you may still be able to spread the disease to others who are not vaccinated.
