Good afternoon,
As you may be aware, 3CORE is one of the Community Financing Institutions that is part of
the implementation of the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program. They
were able to share with me the data on Butte County businesses that have been awarded
from Round 1 of this program. Please see the email below from Luis Moreno. This is
wonderful news for our local businesses!!

Hi Jen,
Just wanted to let you know that data was finally released from Round 1 of the CA Relief Grant
Program (we are currently in Round 5). Butte County breakdown:
113 businesses/organizations were awarded grants from Butte County totaling $1,485,000
108 for-profit businesses - $1,420,000 ( $440,000 of these funds went to 32 of our
Butte Business Stabilization Small Business Grant awardees)
5 non-profit organizations - $65,000
Of the 113 awardees:
92 from Chico - $1,290,000
17 from Oroville - $165,000
2 from Magalia - $10,000
1 from Biggs - $5,000
1 from Cherokee - $15,000
I must say that I am surprised to hear that this many businesses from Butte County were awarded
during the first round alone. I was expecting about half of these amounts.
We’ll provide updates from the following rounds as that info is received, but let me know if you have
any questions.
