ENCLOSURE CONTAINS CUI//CEII – DO NOT RELEASE
Dear Mr. Blackett:
This letter presents Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) plans and schedulesto
address recommendations from the 11th 5-year Part 12D safety inspection report for
Grizzly Forebay Dam, which is part of PG&E’s Bucks Creek Hydroelectric Project, Federal
Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 619. PG&E submitted the safety inspection
report, prepared by independent consultants (ICs) Mr. William Rettberg, P.E., and Mr.
Chad M. Masching, P.E., and dated January 2021, to FERC on January 29, 2021. PG&E’s
proposed plans and schedules to address the ICs’ recommendations are enclosed with
this letter (Enclosure 1).
Ongoing shelter-in-place orders issued by the State of California in response to the
COVID-19 pandemic require that nonessential PG&E staff work remotely, and hard copy
filings are not practical at this time. If FERC requires hard copies of this letter and/or
enclosures, please contact the license coordinator identified below. If necessary, hard
copies will be sent after the shelter-in-place restrictions have been lifted and PG&E staff
have returned to their normal work locations.
Should you have any technical questions concerning this matter, please contact PG&E’s
senior dam safety engineer, Mr. Ben Fontana, at (530) 762-9459. For general questions,
please contact PG&E’s senior license coordinator, Ms. Jamie Visinoni, at (530) 215-6676.
