RE: DeSabla-Centerville Hydroelectric Project, FERC No. 803-CA
DSSMP/R Submittal for 2020 Record Year
ENCLOSURES CONTAIN CUI//CEII – DO NOT RELEASE
Dear Mr. Blackett:
This letter presents Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) submittal of thecombined
dam safety surveillance and monitoring plans and reports (DSSMP/Rs) (Enclosure 1) for
the 2020 record year for the DeSabla-Centerville Hydroelectric Project, Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (FERC) No. 803. The reports covered under this submittal include
the following dams:
DeSabla Forebay Dam, NATDAM No. CA00343
Philbrook Dam, NATDAM No. CA00345
Round Valley Dam, NATDAM No. CA00346
In accordance with FERC’s request, this submittal is accompanied by statements from
PG&E’s Chief Dam Safety Engineer (CDSE) regarding the safety of PG&E’s dams for
continued operation (Enclosure 2). A table listing the comments and/or recommendations
PG&E considers complete with submittal of these DSSMP/Rs is included in Enclosure 3.
PG&E typically begins preparing DSSMP/Rs 9 months before they are due to FERC. To
maintain PG&E’s schedule for coordinating and compiling the DSSMP/Rs and allow
FERC’s comments to be incorporated in future reports, PG&E’s must receive timely
feedback. To facilitate completion of PG&E’s DSSMP/Rs for the 2020 record year, PG&E
respectfully requests that FERC return all comments on the 2020 DSSMP/Rs by
September 30, 2021.
Ongoing shelter-in-place orders issued by the State of California in response to the
COVID-19 pandemic require that nonessential PG&E staff work remotely, and hard copy

reports, please contact PG&E’s dam safety engineer, Ms. Kaitlyn Thatcher, at (707) 342-
7885. For general questions, please contact PG&E’s license coordinator, Ms. Jamie
