homelessness-resultinginthetemporaryrestrainingorderissuedonSundaynite,andthe
InjunctionfiledlastThursdaybyLegalServicesofNorthernCalifornia-aboutwhichyou
werewarnedthesewerecoming-aslawyerslineuptosueourlocalgovernment.
ManyofushavebeenwritingtoyouandcallinginonZoommeetingswithourlegitimate
concernsabouthowyourpoliciesaffectallofusonmanylevels:includingtheinhumanityof
yourrecentactions,secretmeetingswithnopublicdiscussion,possibleBrownActviolations,
firingourcityattorneyundersuspiciousconditionsandrehiringaproventaxpayerloserofour
moneywholostthemovethejunkyardlawsuit,whichcostus$200Kandthenheliedsaying
thejunkyardwouldpaythosecosts,andwentAWOLforayearafterwardfromattendingany
councilmeetings-BeverlyHillsresidentVinceEwing;ignoringscienceanddatabyhomeless
expertsandwastingtaxpayers'moneyonyourunconstitutional"sweeps,"-asstatedbySean
MorganonKAPYradiothatyourstrategyistokeepsweepingandmovingourhomeless
along-makingtheirlivessomiserable-thattheyleaveourarea,andthoseinsupportofthose
statedpoliciescallingourunshelteredhumans~"transients,animals,rodentsandtrash."
Whilemanyothercitiesareworkingonputtingtheircitizens'taxdollarstoworkonsolutions,
Chico/Buttehaschosentowasteextremely valuabletime,moneyandlivesfightingthe
inevitable.Atleast22peoplediedfromMay2020untilnowbecauseofyourpolicies,and
counting.

Thisisthe2020AnnualHomelessAssessmentReportlink,whereyouwillseethat51%ofall
homelessintheUSliveinCA.Only50%nowcanowntheirhomes,andmostcannotearn
enoughtoaffordskyrocketingrentsinourcompetitivemarketwith millionsmorepeoplethan
availablehousing.Thisisawaronthepoor,andtheultimatelosersaretheoneswiththeleast
moneyandresources.

Eventhoughlawenforcementherewillnotprovidetoourcredentialedpressthecoststhey
spendper"sweep,"weknowfromthePublicWorkssectorthatitisinthetensofthousands
beforelawenforcementasreported.Oftenweonlygetthenumbersoftonnagetakendirectly
tolandfill.
Itrustthatwhenpeoplelearnhowinefficientlythemajorityofourelectedandappointed
officialshaverecklesslybehavedregardingourhomeless,thattaxpayerswillrevoltagainst
thesepolicies.
