Meeting Purpose
Kickoff GEI Consultants work on the PID Options Study and solicit input from stakeholder group on
options for consideration.
Work Plan Status
Delayed a few weeks as DFA has to decided to fund this project under an alternative CSUS Contract
Agreement, which will be executed soon.
Options for Consideration
Define Baseline option: consider rebuilding efforts (FEMA/Insurance) and projected demand for
reliable supply
PID hydroelectric powerplant
Local consolidation: be clear about legal definition of terms used
o Benefits: economies of scale, shared engineering/finance/equipment/HR resources
o Project coordination Joint venture opportunities through interagency agreements
o Joint Power Agreements
o Expanded service outside of PID boundary (not currently served by PID or not served)
Property tax not a good option for voters
