You are officially invited to attend CALFIRE’s wildfire preparedness week event at Loafer Creek
campground boat launch this Wednesday, starting at 11:00. We will have a static display of
equipment with speeches from a few department officials and elected officials regarding the
importance of defensible space and hardening structures. The media will be in attendance. There is
room in the day’s itinerary should one of you like to speak on the importance of fuel reduction,
defensible space and/or hardening your home. I believe Supervisor Connelly will be speaking.
Please RSVP back to Chief Garrett Sjolund and myself if you will be attending. Sorry for the short
notice.
